Rating: R for language mostly. Though not really in this chapter.
Author Notes: I wasn't going to post this right away, but once I had it completed, I felt really good about it. So I decided to go ahead and post it. It's kind of weird for me to look back on this fic and think about what my intentions were for this fic when I first started it. It was actually going to be a lot darker, and David was going to be a real prick. (Sorry, David.) If you go back to my author notes from chapter one I believe, you see that this was supposed to be about David's struggle with alcohalism. Instead, this really became more about Michael's healing journey. I'm okay with that. I'm really proud of the way this fic turned out. This chapter is dedicated to all the wonderful people who supported and encouraged me with this fic with their feedback. You really have no idea how much that means to me. Rating: Hard R for language and sexual situations. Maybe closer to NC-17 (ish) Somewhere in between? I don't know. There's light smut. And the C-word.
Warnings: References everything that happened in Chapter Six Point Five, so those warnings apply here, but in a much much milder form. In other words, vague implications of non-con and character death.
Author Notes: Okay, I think this is the chapter I am most proud of. This was also, by far, the most challenging for me. Thank you to everyone who answered my poll earlier in the week. I appreciated getting your feedback and feelings on that matter. More people voted for a heavy make-out session, but there were still a lot of votes for going all the way, so I handled it in typical AngelicFruitcake fashion. You'll have to read to find out. :-P

Author Notes: I'm really pretty happy with this chapter. There are some things I could definitely nitpick. But for the most part I am happy. This chapter is heavily inspired by David Cook's "Makeover". I'm not totally sure what David intended the song to be about, but some of the lyrics really mean a lot to me, and I thought fit the situation of this chapter extremely well. Oh, and I have decided, officially, there will be two more chapters after this.

Author Notes: I struggled with this chapter for a long time. That's why it was such a long time between chapters. I knew exactly how I wanted the chapter to end, but had a hard time coming up with a satisfactory beginning. I played around with a lot of ideas, and this is what I finally settled on. I had originally created a very cool OC named Martin to be David's manager. But then I read the new People article and it said that Simon Fuller is actually going to be his manager. However I still really liked Martin, so I basically gave his personality to Simon. Simon, I don't know you. Have no idea what you're like. Probably not like this. Author Notes: I was feeling extremely inspired, and so I was able to get this chapter done early. This chapter plays with some darker themes. Initially this fic was inspired by a very bad fic I read that played with the idea of one of the idols being an alcoholic. It's a very difficult theme to work with, and I really wanted to do it some justice. This chapter is pretty dark, and while there are some pretty big bumps in the road left to come, I can assure you that you will see some glimpses of a silver lining soon.
